Site Context: Located in Jaipur, the mansion is situated adjoining the Chandpole darwaza which is one of the 7 entry gates in the city wall surrounding the old city.
The design incorporates Rajputana architectural elements and two central courtyards—one for social gatherings and another for private family moments. These spaces flow into a landscaped garden, creating a unified area suitable for large events.
The use of courtyards is responsive to the region’s arid climate, serving as natural cooling zones, while fountains elevate the overall microclimate and sensory appeal.
Reflecting the wife’s interests in gardening and cooking, the kitchen is enlarged and directly connected to a small vegetable garden.
